Andrew grew up in Kelowna BC finishing high school at KLO Secondary and studied Business Administration at Okanagan College. He started his own business wholesaling CD's and Tapes which how he met his now late wife, Leanne. Together they built the GrooveYard to be one of Penticton's iconic stores. The Record store has been in business for over 32 years. Andrew also started a video production company 12 years ago (Groove-V Productions) that specializes in sport and event broadcast/web streaming.
Andrew has lived in Penticton for 31 years and volunteered his time for the last 29 years. First with Penticton Minor Hockey (15 years including 6 years as president), and then to present day with BC Hockey. Andrew served on the board, including as President, of the Downtown Penticton Association, City council for 10 years, Regional district for 8 years, Okanagan Film Commission for 8 years (including chair), and for the past 4 years on the board of directors for the South Okanagan Immigrant Community Services.
Andrew is also the organizer of the ReelPeachFest film festival and Vancouver Canucks Young Stars classic.
With his now late wife raised 2 children and he has one grandchild. Andrew is currently 51 years old.
